Went Camping with Our Nephew Jim and his wife Mindy and there girls..Went gold minning and 4-wheeling. Dad & Mom came up one day, but did not pictures of that. Dad showed them were the gold mines are and they were hooked after that. Paul and Jim both went down in one of the mines, Mindy & I werew having a heart attack, good thing the batteries on the flash light went out or they would of stayed down there all day.

Tina Amy & I have been best friends since well it was before we started school :)
We all love to ride and we with the help of Kambie and Amanda decided to go for a girls trail ride. We brang some of the people we love the most, Like Peggy, Becky, Amanda,Kambie,Tina's good friends and very sweet ladies Bekie and Kami. We rode up the trail on Daniels summit, Kambie works there so we got special treatment. It rained on us once, not to bad but that to Peggy we had some real Cowboy coats the were warm and kept us dry. After we had lunch a the summit. It was a great day one we plan on doing again.

After we climbed we walked down to the river. It sure is pretty up North fork. I was raised up there and it's nice to share it with my kids. The trail to stone face must be new, When I was a kid we made are own trails ;0 and walked 5 miles to school both ways..

Shayne & I went up to the Dude Ranch for memorial for Geno.. We thought we would climb up to Stone face on our way home. Up over the ledges and rocks we go, I had my flip flops on and they don't make for good climbing over rocks. After pushing him up and try my darnest not to fall we get to the top and guess what? there is a trail coming right from the road..Humm I guess I needed the exercise l:)

Amanda carried one of the flags at the Rodeo, she also ran the barrels , did pretty good took 4th but was not in the money ahh well getting better every year..Paul & Dean open the gates for the bucking stock, you can see them in the back ground as Amanda's running with the flag. These are the only pictures I took because I got stuck helping in the consessions which really sucked, I love to cook on my day's off too NOT. I don't mind helping..

The Kids Dug a big hole in front of our camp trailor it was very deep the could lay in it and not be seen, the little one's would stand in it.. It was a tunnel they said or a trap people who have had a little to much to drink could fall into.. Man I"m so far behind..We do nothing really. Or I just don't get pictures. These are from memorial day. We go to Redcreek every year, it like the only reunion the Baums have unless you count deer season, which is a holiday for them. Seems every year more family shows up which makes it great. Right in the middle of our camp site a bunch (5) baby Pot guts came out of a hole, I think the mom got scared off and they got hungry, there eye's were not even open all the way. The kids loved them..But sorry to say our dog tried to play with one it did not end well, then one of nick & Tara sweet little girls got running out of the 4-wheeler trailor to fast and we were minus 2 more, Then one got ran over by a 3 year olds bike, and the last one we set free so it mom came and found it..That our story and we are sticking too it..

Every year we head to the Nascar race..Lots of fun and beer get had..Bruce & lisa, Jim & mindy & families went with us this year too..It's really hard to get that many people together and going at one time..but we had lots of fun..Shayne got to go this year, Tiffany has kept him for 2 years ( thanks Tiff )..He loves Jimmy Johnson we bought him the offical team jacket he was so proud plus jimmy won so it was a great day..

Went to the arena to practice..Amanda's little dog likes to ride on her horse, she was looping around the dog loved it..Shayne was sulking on the barrel because his horse tipped over the grain bucket in the bottom of the horse trailor, we did not even yell at him..I guess we could not see him sulking in the truck..

Went for a ride on the hill behind Ray's there is still so much snow and mudd..We got stuck so many times..I took these with my cell phone so they are not that good I seem to all ways forget me camera..Jon got stuck he sunk side way's and it popped his tire off the rim..Good thing they are handy and i got them those battery operated tire pumps for christmas..

Amanda and I went for a long ride today in the deep snow..It was cold in the shade, I came home with a cold foot..And a cold butt, no I did not get dumped, but i got off and the horse tried to itch her head on me, and it knocked me over butt first it the snow, I guess thats better than face first..
It was a good work out for the horses and it did not hurt Holly one bit either.

Amanda had her barrel racing award Banquet. She moved up in a higher bracket and took second. Trust me it was good..She won stirrups they are chrome..Yes there are chrome ones lol She has won everything but a bridle barrel racing..Shooting for that next time, or horse trailor maybe even a new truck :)

Christmas play

Tabby had the cutest Christmas play this year, The made the costumes and had each class came in while the play was going on..It was just like the old days when I was in school. Bonnie Roberts & Lucie Vantasell Directed and Lamay Humpherey's & Afton Giles did the costumes, They did a great Job. So cute. Shayne did pretty good but he needed a belt for his Santa outfit, Of course I did his out fit.. He told santa he wanted some thing in a hole differnt language I think it was a Star wars moon walker clone probe with on board star ship droid, You should of seen his face. (Santa's)

Science Fair

Shayne did the science fair this year. We had a hard time getting him to do anything scientific.. He wanted to do what is stronger Elk horns or Deer Horns. Jon told him he would go rope an elk and deer and we would find out, It made him cry guess he does not think Jon can rope very good. .What gun is weaker the 300 or the 270..Then he wanted to take the guns and bullets to school, does not understand that against the law..
Finally he decided on this Whats the difference in Horns and Antlers?

Horns are permanent and Antlers shed once a year..

He did not win but he did it all the research his self and learned a lot of other interesting things..That should count for some thing..

Mom & Dads 50th party

On Oct 10 2009 Mom & Dad have been married 50 years, They have 7 kids and 21 grandkids 4 3/4 great grandkids. Was a real nice party at LC Ranch. Everyone made it but Kira Laura's she is way pregnant and did not feel very good. Mom & Dad I think really enjoyed it, They really did not want us to make a big fuss, They should of known we would we have all been that way our whole lives.

Every Year Amanda & Paul go up current creek to help Giles bring the cows home. Amanda has went every years since she was 10. Hal is real good to her. Baillie and her have a blast. Baillie just got a new horse and is so proud. I usually go up one day, it's real fun and a good work out.

Target Run

Amanda's still barrel racing but is about done for the summer. She won a breast collar. Target run is were you run the barrels twice and the person who gets closet to their time both times wins.. She got 4th in the target and won the breast collar, then she got 2nd over all in one of the D's(3-D) they are just differnt, place's from fastest to slowest, it goes 1-D highest 5-D lowest..She won 40.00 from that..
But that was good she gets better all the time, which is what we want..

We went camping up Redcreek for the 24th. Amanda's Ex boy friend passed away a few weeks ago.. Amanda dated him for 4 years on and off..He had a drug problem and it finally got the best of him. Paul did not like him, yes he's the one he wanted to kill, I liked Joe, Did not like some of the things he did, but he had a good heart, Shayne really liked him and did not like sharing him with Amanda. Some times life is so hard, I'm so proud of Amanda and how she dealed with him and his death, even though they were broke up. She is so much stronger than I ever was at that age. Even if some one is differnt from what we judge as being normal, what works for you does not work for everyone, We all take differnt paths, we all have differnt lessons. I try and not Judge anyone. If we were all the same how boring would that be. Be nice to everyone for you never know just how long they will be in your life. Okay I'm off to cry again lol

Amanda was looking out the window at the rain and we were pouting because it's rained for 3 weeks straight and we have not got much horse riding time in, she said look at all those boards in the air, they were spinning around and went right over the top of our house, we were watching them and Paul comes and told us Pace's shed has blown over and is up side down in the middle of our lane, there is boards and junk spread all over the fence line, real crazy stuff, they have trailors, boats and more sheds but it only got the one, I real glad it missed my house, now I'm wondering if we have Torando insurance? I know we are not in Kanas with one good strong wind we could be though :) I love the Outhouse side ways Paul had to roll it out of the road so he could come home..

They are working on opening wolf creek, it will still be another month before it is officaily open though. Some one called Pauls big boss and told him that all it would take was 2 hours and a loader to open Wolf creek so Paul, Ervin, Cole rode the snow mobiles up to see. As you can see there lots more snow than that. Though we got most of it in these last spring storms, Pauls thinks there is more snow than last year so the farmers will be happy..The first picture is from Kamas side, the gate I do think they got more snow than us in Tabby. Cole is standing on the Out house which is at the top of Wolf creek. The last few pictures are of the work they are doing now trying to get the road open, thats a lots of snow..

We got snow again last night, But hay the wind has stopped. I thought it was pretty so I took a picture on my way to work. This is on our deck and looking out our back yard. The snow was so heavy that the power went out in Tabby, Hanna and Fruitland I guess the wieght on the power lines. Beauty must have a price, I hope to find that out one day.

Jon is such a good guy, not because I'm his mother either :) Kids just love him and they always go right too him. He's a real good person, got the kindest heart, the Bagleys say he's a big teddy bear which is so true.
Matt Smith came and did are wiring for us, he did a good job too(thanks Matt) Those kids are his they are the cutest kids ever, He's a very good Dad too. Mason the little boy acts just like him when he was little, wild as heck. I'm sure Julie wished that on him. Jon and Matt have been friends forever, they used to argue as kids it was funny, now they just laugh. They are both pretty big boy's, but really great men.

I hope I'm not boring you to bad with this room thing, but it's the only thing going on around here lol Heres a before and after picture and anin between one, we are almost done got the wood floor in and we were short one box of flooring, we bought it on KSL we bought the windows and most of the stuff there too. But any we are having a hard time finding another box of this color, We just need that Carpet and tile for the wood stove and trim we are done YA!! I really don't like the walls but Paul does, Got to keep him happy and working LOL hopfully it won't look so wild once we get trim and pictures up. Keeping my fingers crossed. (Note Elmo on the Bucket they were shooting him off with the Bow and Arrow) Pour Elmo.

Travis is an Electrician on this bridge, he climbs up it and wires the lights and does all the wiring and stuff, He is the head Electrician, he says it gets real windy up on top of it, they are going to build the bridge straight up and then let it down when they are done. He is single and lives in Vegas the pictures is of him and his daughter Kaylee, he had with Rachelle Lee. He is such a good guy.Cute too..

Hoover Dam

On are trip to Nascar we went to Hoover dam to. It was real cool. Travis Sweat, Dean & Peggys boy is helping build a bridge that going up close to the dam. I'll show pictures of that later. We went into the dam, I did not want to go I get a little sick in places like that, but Shayne would not go with out me, So I bucked up and went, After Paul told me I was making him a wimp..It was not to bad expect when we got in the Elevator with 20 other people.. It was worth it even though at one point you could hear and feel the water underneath you, which was pretty freaky.. Really cool place to see.

I must admit the first time Paul wanted to go to nascar I said yuck..Well my sweet sister inlaw (Tiff) offered to take Shayne or Marco offered her? and he got us tickets, Well I really liked it, we sat up high with the rich people, it was pretty Fun, The kids sat on the front row, which are the cheap seats, This year we got cheap sets because the kids said it was funner. well it was when the cars took of you could feel the wind it would blow off your hat if you did not hold on to them, and the noise was so loud we all brang ear plugs, but boy it was fun you could see the drivers, when they went slow enough. we were covered in oil and dirt, I'm such a red neck.

Shayne got a new coat today, his Dad picked it up at Cabelas, Calelas is heaven to Shayne,and all rednecks in this family. He thinks it is best place earth we take him there every year for his birthday, Well I did have a birthday party one year and never again will I go there.=( Are house is really not that cold, but I went to tuck him in and he's fell asleep with his coat on. I think he may like it.

We took mom to The Canton City In vernal for lunch, her favorite place. We missed ya Tiff. I think she really enjoyed it even though she hates to much attention on her, we we controled our selfs and did not sing happy birthday. All the sisters came, Laura brang Rainna & her 2 kids Brenan & Rylin. Julie brang Cassie and Clancy & Kayson came too & Baillie, So did Rick & Verylnn and Eric Sam, her and Rick are both in the police academy monday thur thursday in Salt lake they really miss there boy's they brang them as a treat. Karena came all by her self, Amanda & her friend Aisha came too, but not with me they are to cool to ride with me and Mom.

Amanda went to San Diego with some friends from the hospital, Tyrel and Melanie, they went to a wedding. They went every where else too. spent a week,, I really love the beach pictures, I look out side and it is snowing kind of depressing really.

Shaynes Room

Part of addition is a room for Shayne..He built his self a sign that say's shaynes room on it, he's very excited, he keeps taking Pauls tools, nails and boards. Pauls being very nice about it.

Pauls really working on our addition, it's a good winter project, keeps him busy and sports off TV. It's starting to look like a room, now if we just had more money, to get it done..Jon helps when he's home, Paul does not fire him, must just be me..

Today Shaynes Turns 9 years old, He was so excited, For his birthday he got 2 lego sets and some kind of Pokemon toy :)He's not very patient for the Lego's but Amanda's enjoyed putting them together for him.He did blow out his own candle. Happy Birthday Shayne Love You..

I just like taking picture's..This a picture of Jon from this at Vernon's wedding I just liked it...Amanda and her little Doggie, who is so scared to have her picture taken (the dog) She stayed under the bed for 3 hours after we took it..Shayne is trying to brush up on his Guitar Hero, he's sick of everyone beating him. A little rock move so they tell me.. I tried and I really suck at it.

We had to get up at 4:00 Amanda had to work half a day, so we did the christmas thing before she left. Paul has been gone most of the day, it is really snowing here. Looks alote like christmas.

I'm trying not to bore you with this new room.. But here it is again. We are going really slow we are out of money and with christmas and all, Paul been pushing lots of snow, not much time for working on it..I'm not a real big help. In the inside we have 2 bedrooms and a living area.

Bart, Julie, Matt, Mallory, Ameila, Mason came to see us the other weekend, It was really nice to have them stay, they are moving right now,(some where in Saltlake, from Colorado) Bart has been promoted to a new and better job, still with Chevron though, Julie is so happy she finally gets to stay home all day and be a trophy wife, She's livin the dream!! Matt was nice enough to wire our new room for us. Ameila & Mason are Matts kids they are so cute, I had forgotten how hard little ones are. It was loads of Fun. Thanks Matt your really not a Smith brat anymore. Ya Know we love ya!!

Killer Dog

Amanda has a little Dog she is a Chihuahua she weights about 3 pounds, She loves Amanda so much, Paul & Jon love teasing her (Bella) they hit Amanda, not real hard lol and this little dog goes crazy, trying to get them and rip there heads off lol.. If a Boy sits by Amanda and trys to touch her she'll go after him to, we really like that to bad the dogs not bigger..

Christmas Blur

I went to the Christmas Play, and i could not make the camera take a clear picture, mine is broke so I took Amanda's, I could not figure it out, All the pictures are blurry, Shayne was so proud and wanted the pictures posted any way, He sang a few songs and played one on the Recorder, Paul & I called it a Flute and we had a 2 hour lecture on the difference of the two of them, Gosh if he ever gets us raised. He did a real good job, the play is always so cute..

The Tree ( Finally)

Finallly got the tree up today, Since we don't live in the woods or anything we had a hard time finding one. Put the lights on twice before they worked, Amanda canceled
